Luxurious Whipped Tallow Face Cream

Tallow is a remarkable skincare ingredient that has been cherished for centuries. Its unique compatibility with human skin means it absorbs quickly and deeply, providing intense hydration and nutrients. Loaded with vitamins A, D, E, and K, plus essential fatty acids like omega-3 and omega-6, tallow helps repair, soften, and rejuvenate skin. This homemade tallow face cream will leave your skin smooth, radiant, and moisturised, without clogging pores. Give it a try, and feel the difference grass-fed tallow can make!

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 ¼  cups organic, grass-fed tallow (beef is preferential due to its more subtle smell)
  • 1/3 cup nourishing oil (choose from jojoba, avocado, olive, carrot seed, argan, or rosehip or a blend of these)
  • 40-50 drops essential oils (lavender, frankincense, or tea tree work beautifully)

What to Do:

  1. Gently melt the tallow in a double boiler or saucepan until it becomes liquid.
  2. Stir in your chosen liquid oil until well blended.
  3. Chill the mixture in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes—just until it’s soft and beginning to solidify, but not fully frozen.
  4. Using a hand mixer, whip the mixture until it becomes fluffy and light in texture.
  5. Add your essential oils and mix again to evenly distribute the scents.
  6. Scoop your whipped tallow face cream into a clean glass jar and store at room temperature or in the fridge for a refreshing cool effect.

How to Use:

This cream is perfect for all skin types, but a little goes a long way! Apply a small amount to your face, morning or night, depending on your skin’s needs. If your skin tends to be oily, use it sparingly or every other day. For dry or mature skin, use twice daily for best results.
